MARGARET G. BECK
Margaret Beck is a partner in the Toledo law firm of Brady, Coyle & Schmidt, Ltd., where her main areas of practice are civil and business litigation, land use matters, personal injury claims, professional malpractice defense (excluding medical malpractice), and family law. Ms. Beck’s clients include Owens Corning and Libbey, Inc. for creditor’s rights issues; and insurance carriers and administrators including Travelers Insurance, various underwriters of Lloyd’s of London and Claims Management Corporation and AIG. She has successfully defended local law firms, insurance agencies and engineering firms against claims of professional malpractice. Previously, Ms. Beck assisted special counsel appointed by the Ohio Attorney General to collect delinquent taxes, fees and assessments owed to the State.
Ms. Beck received her B.A. degree from Michigan State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1992. She is licensed in both Ohio and Michigan as well as numerous Federal Courts. She is a member of the Toledo, Ohio State and American bar associations, and the State Bar of Michigan. She is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and also serves as Co-Chair of the Toledo Bar Association’s Grievance Investigation Committee.
She is active in her local bar association and community and is currently the First Vice Chair for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Council and has acted as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
